Jo and I got her converse, they're super cute. Rosie "got" her a gift card to a cafe downtown. Frani "got" her candy, and my parents got her some clothes and a $50 gift card to a book store. 50 dollars. All for books. Books. Uhg, I
So she got a pretty good haul this year. ;) Also for her birthday, we are going to go see Inside Out, which looks like a pretty good movie, and I'm sure we'll do a post about it after we see it.
The scariest thing happened yesterday. We were driving back into town after Rosie and Frani's swimming lessons and we saw black smoke rising up really fast. Black smoke, so we knew the fire was not put out yet and still spreading. So we kept driving and as we were about to get off the freeway we past a bunch of trees. On fire. With big flames.
It's so dry out here right now, that it was spreading like crazy. The was a lot of smoke in the sky and it was super scary.
Luckily it was not spreading towards our house, and it was mostly trees that were harmed. I think it ended up spreading over ten ares. wew.
Anyway, now the sky is normal looking again, and firemen were able to put the fire all out. But scary, right?
....
And I will leave you on that happy note. :D
Talk you all soon!
